Non Surgical Spine Specialists

Specialist non-invasive treatment in Edinburgh for: Herniated Discs, Slipped Discs, Prolapsed Discs, Bulging Discs, Sciatica

If you are struggling with a disc problem, help is at hand.  Whilst most disc problems can be resolved with manual treatments, others require something more.  At Move Freely we provide IDD Therapy.

IDD Therapy enables us to take pressure off the disc which is contributing to your pain, whether in your back or neck, without resorting to invasive procedures such as surgery.

As part of a network of IDD Therapy providers in the UK, we are here to help disc sufferers get their life back.

Free 15 minute phone consultations:

Would you like to discuss your condition, get a second opinion and understand if IDD therapy may be suitable, we offer a free 15 minute phone consultation.

IDD Therapy on the Accu SPINA

IDD Therapy is the non-invasive, targeted disc treatment developed to take pressure of the affected disc.  At the same time it gently mobilises the often stiff and painful area with a goal to help restore movement in the affected spinal segments.  And where there is nerve pain such as sciatica or pain in the arms, by carefully improving the spinal function and unloading the disc, we aim to take pressure off nerves which may be causing the pain.

What Our Patients are Saying about IDD

Lorenz Clausen Physiotherapist Edinburgh

— Physiotherapist Lorenz Clausen

“There are certain disc problems which have traditionally been difficult to address with hands on treatments. Many patients can end up on a vicious cycle of pain and immobility leading to a reliance on pain medication, possibly spinal injections and in some cases surgery. It is important to use non-invasive means to help patients wherever we can and IDD Therapy gives physiotherapists the opportunity to do more for these patients and help them out of pain using conservative means”

Does bending your back cause back pain?

We have all been told “don’t bend your back like that”, “sit up straight” or “keep your back straight when you lift”?But is this true? Should we be afraid to bend over? Will our spines all break if we don’t keep them straight or is it just part of normal life?

Here’s what we teach to our back pain patients every day at Move Freely and why we are doing it differently from most Physiotherapy clinics.
